RADIO is still alive! At least until it’s killed by loud Clear Channel announcers blathering mindlessly about “my friends at….” Please listen to what a little imagination, production value and theater of the mind can do for a brand.

This engaging yet very simple spot Gramoxone Max herbicide won awards. The inspiration was personal experience. People often don’t understand my analogies.

Viva and Jerry were a delightful Minnesota couple with a cable access show. They ran country-western videos but, as with Marx Brothers movies, you didn’t turn in for the music. We used them to endorse Michelob Golden Light, a brand sold pretty much only in Minnesota.

When people learn about Affinity Plus Credit Union, there’s no good reason to stay at their bank. In case they need a gentle push, we imagined the joyful triumphant day when they leave it.

Here are two quick spots for a friend with a wine label, Leatherhead, a wine for football and those who endure football only while at brunch. Bonus: I’m the announcer! There’s also a dated Metrodome reference.
